HOW ONLINE TOURNAMENTS WORK
Competing online is simple. Download the BooksMade app, register for an upcoming tournament, join us on Zoom, and play your matches through the BooksMade Spades app while staying connected to the full tournament experience.

DOWNLOAD THE BOOKSMADE APP
Before registering for an online Spades Bowl tournament both players will download the BooksMade Spades app, create their accounts and join the Spades Bowl league.

JOIN THE TOURNAMENT ZOOM
On tournament day, enter the official Spades Bowl Zoom for your designated tournament at the scheduled check-in time.
Players will receive tournament instructions, announcements, match assignments, and updates through the Zoom experience while engaging amongst other players before, during and after matches.

ENTER YOUR DIVISION
Teams will be organized into divisions based on the tournament format. Players will be moved into a designated "Division Room" via Zoom before competition begins.

RECEIVE YOUR MATCHUP
When each round begins, teams will receive their opponent and match instructions via the BooksMade app.

Opposing teams will then move from their "Division Room" into their "Match Room" on Zoom and begin their game through the BooksMade Spades app.

PLAY & REPORT YOUR RESULT
Play your match using the designated Spades Bowl rules and tournament format.
Scores and results will be recorded through the tournament system and used to update standings throughout the event.

ADVANCE & KEEP PLAYING
Once a round is complete, return to the tournament lobby for updated standings and your next matchup.
Depending on the tournament format, top-performing teams will advance on to the Final Stage.
