THE ROAD TO THE REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

One Region. One Season. Multiple Ways In.

The Spades Bowl Regional Circuit is a season-long tournament series built for flexibility and competition.

Compete when your schedule allows. Win cash prizes at every tournament. Earn Regional Points. Chase a Golden Ticket. And work your way toward the season-ending Spades Bowl Regional Championship.

No weekly commitment required. Every tournament matters.

HOW THE SEASON WORKS

8 Tournaments Per Region. One Regional Championship.

Each Regional Circuit season features up to 8 scheduled tournaments leading to the Regional Championship.

Teams are not required to compete in every tournament.

Play one. Play a few. Play them all.

The more you compete, the more opportunities you have to:

  • Win tournament cash prizes

  • Earn Regional Points

  • Improve your Regional Ranking

  • Win a Golden Ticket

  • Secure your place in the Regional Championship

Every successfully completed tournament contributes to a season-long Regional Championship prize pot that continues to grow throughout the Circuit.

EVERY TOURNAMENT PAYS

Compete Today. Build Toward Something Bigger.

Every Regional Circuit tournament features a cash prize pool based on the number of participating teams.

50% of the base tournament entry revenue is paid out through that day’s tournament prize pool with an additional 25% going directly toward building the Regional Championship Prize Pot.

For Golden Ticket tournaments with a higher buy-in due to automatic berth potential, only the standard buy-in amount for all other point qualifiers will be added to the tournament's day of prize pool with 50% of the additional fees also going into the Regional Championship Prize Pot.  â€‹

That means every tournament offers something to win today while helping build an even bigger prize at the end of the season.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

Pool Play. Then Win or Go Home.

Regional Circuit tournaments begin with round-robin pool play, giving teams multiple guaranteed games and a fair opportunity to compete for advancement.

Teams are divided into pools or divisions based on the final tournament field size.

The top-performing teams advance to a four-team, single-elimination championship bracket:

SEMIFINALS → CHAMPIONSHIP

Division sizes and the number of teams advancing from each division may vary based on tournament attendance, but the road always leads to the Final Four.

THREE WAYS TO REACH THE REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

1. WIN YOUR WAY IN - GOLDEN TICKET

Select tournaments throughout the season are designated as Golden Ticket Qualifiers.  The registration fee for these special tournaments will be higher than a traditional point qualifier.

Win a Golden Ticket and your spot in the Regional Championship is secured however, seasonal points are still accumulated for all participating teams during Golden Ticket Qualifiers

No additional Championship entry fee required for Golden Ticket holders.

Once qualified, you can continue competing throughout the season for cash prizes, Regional Points, and improved Championship seeding.

WIN THE TICKET. PUNCH YOUR PASS TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP.

2. PLAY YOUR WAY IN - REGIONAL POINTS

You don’t have to win a Golden Ticket to reach the Regional Championship.

Teams earn Regional Points based on how they finish at every Circuit tournament.

Your strongest tournament performances build your Regional Ranking throughout the season.

At the conclusion of the Circuit, the highest-ranked teams that have not already secured a Golden Ticket will earn the remaining qualifying spots in the Regional Championship.

PLAY. EARN POINTS. CLIMB THE RANKINGS.

HOW REGIONAL POINTS WORK

Regional Points reward both tournament success and strong pool-play performance.

Tournament Result
Regional Points
Tournament Champion
100
Runner-Up
75
Semifinalist / Final Four
55
Highest Non-Advancing Division Tier (if releavant)
35
Next Division Tier (if relevant)
25
Next Division Tier (if relevant)
15
Participation / Lowest Division Tier (if relevant)
10

Lower placement tiers apply only when relevant based on the number of teams and division structure used for that tournament.

Only a team’s designated best tournament results (best 4 finishes) count toward its official Regional Ranking, so missing a tournament does not automatically put you out of contention.

Playing more often simply gives you more opportunities to improve your best results and climb the standings.

3. THE WILD CARD - A LIMITED FINAL OPPORTUNITY

There may be one more way into the Regional Championship — but it is never guaranteed.

Every scheduled Circuit tournament requires a minimum of 10 teams to execute.

If a scheduled tournament does not meet the minimum and is canceled, that unplayed event may create one Regional Championship Buy-In Wild Card.

If all scheduled tournaments are successfully played:

There are no Buy-In Wild Cards.

When Wild Cards are available, the highest-ranked non-qualified teams in the Regional Points standings receive the first opportunity to claim them during a limited priority window.

Any Wild Cards remaining after that period become first-come, first-served to eligible teams that participated in the Circuit during the season.

Wild Card pricing is set at 5% of the Base Regional Championship Prize Pot.

POINTS GIVE YOU PRIORITY. PARTICIPATION GIVES YOU OPPORTUNITY.

THE REGIONAL RANKINGS

Every Tournament Can Change the Race.

Regional Rankings are updated throughout the season so teams can follow the race to the Championship.

Track:

  • Regional Rank

  • Regional Points

  • Tournament Results

  • Golden Ticket Status

  • Championship Qualification Status

Whether you’re chasing the #1 ranking, fighting for a Points Qualifier position, or trying to put yourself first in line for a potential Wild Card, every strong tournament performance matters.

THE REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

This Is What You're Playing For.

The entire season leads here.

The top teams in the region come together for one final tournament to crown the:

SPADES BOWL REGIONAL CHAMPION

And while teams compete throughout the season, the Championship prize continues to grow.

Every Circuit entry helps build the pot.

REGIONAL POINTS TIEBREAKERS

What Happens If There Is a Points Tie

If two or more teams finish the Regional Circuit season with the same number of Regional Points,

ties will be broken using the following procedures in order until the tie is resolved.

Important to note only the top 4 tournament finishes will be counted toward your teams overall point total.

1. Highest Single Tournament Finish

The team with the highest individual tournament finish during the Regional Circuit season will

receive the higher ranking. Tournament Champion ranks above Runner-Up, Runner-Up ranks

above Semifinalist, and so on. This rewards teams that reached the highest level of success during

the season.

2. Highest Average Tournament Finish

If the teams remain tied after comparing their highest tournament finish, the team with the better

average finish across its counting tournaments will receive the higher ranking. This rewards

consistency throughout the Regional Circuit season.

Example:

Team A

Counting Finishes: 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th

Average Finish: 3.5

Team B

Counting Finishes: 1st, 2nd, 5th, 8th

Average Finish: 4.0

If Step 1 cannot separate the teams because both achieved the same highest finish, Team A would

earn the higher ranking because it maintained the stronger average finish throughout the season.

THE POT KEEPS GROWING

One Season. One Growing Championship Prize.

25% of every Regional Circuit tournament entry is contributed directly to the Regional Championship Prize Pot.

Based on participation across a full 8-tournament season, the base Championship pot could grow to approximately:

  • $2,000+ at minimum participation

  • $3,000+ at average participation

  • $4,000+ with full tournament fields

YOUR SEASON. YOUR ROAD.

You don’t have to play every week.

You don’t have to win every tournament.

But every time you sit down at the table, there’s something on the line.

WIN CASH.

EARN POINTS.

CLIMB THE RANKINGS.

CHASE THE GOLDEN TICKET.

EARN YOUR SHOT AT THE REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.
